Get Away to Seattle, WA and Unwind in Our Private Garden

One of our favorite things to do is spend time in our garden, which provides enjoyment not only for ourselves but also our guests who visit from all over the world.

Upon arrival at our bed and breakfast, you will be greeted at the front door with colorful pots of flowers.  Nearby our door is a variety of hydrangeas and a beautiful flowering magnolia that blooms twice yearly. During your vacation or weekend getaway, take a stroll through the garden on lush grass and along the brick walkway, and you will find spring flowering trees and bulbs, summer roses, fall dahlias, and winter ornamental berries. The greenhouse made from reclaimed materials is the home of a couple lemon trees that produce lemons all year long. Seedlings are also started in the greenhouse in early spring for many of the vegetables and annual flowers that we grow. The garden is home to a large variety of birds, a few squirrels, and occasionally a raccoon.

The “Secret Garden” is where you will find the potting bench made from reclaimed materials.  This is the perfect place to sit and relax, take in the berry and vegetable gardens, and watch for birds visiting the nearby birdbath and birdhouses. The raised flowerbeds in this garden make the perfect place to grow strawberries, cucumbers, lettuce, spinach, and tomatoes. Nearby there are rows of blueberries, marionberries, and raspberries. All summer our guests enjoy fresh-picked berries with their breakfast and an occasional cobbler or pie. There is also an herb and edible flower garden nearby for breakfast plate garnishes.

The garden patio is the perfect place to relax in a rocking chair while taking in some sun rays, or enjoy the shade of the umbrella at the patio table and watch the birds busy enjoying the garden fountains. Hummingbirds frequent the many flowering hanging baskets and colorful pots.  After a busy day sightseeing in Seattle, enjoy our garden patio under northwest stars.
