Covid Update May 29, 2021

As the weeks and months go by we continue to work closely with our local health department and guidelines from the CDC, for your health and safety. 

Cleaning –

Following the cleaning practices recommended by the CDC for Coronavirus we continue to sanitize everything thoroughly between guests and open screened windows to bring in fresh air.  During the day we clean the common areas throughout, especially the places guests touch most often like door knobs, light switches and remote controls. If you have stayed with us before, upon arriving you will see we have removed the extra things like decorative throw pillows, bed scarves, books, brochures, umbrellas,  sugar bowl (replaced by individual sugar packets) and the dining room tablecloth is replaced daily instead of between guests. We schedule at least one full day between guests to spend extra time on cleaning and airing out rooms, which comes down to limiting the number of rooms nights available for reservations in the coming months. 

Breakfast –

Because you are our only guests, you have the option of a continental breakfast which we will place in the guest refrigerator that you can enjoy at your leisure or our gourmet hot breakfast that we prepare just for you. We always follow the guidelines from our local health department but are taking extra precautions, with the use of our usual kitchen gloves, we have added masks while preparing and serving your food while keeping a social distance. You can choose to have breakfast in our cozy dining room or out on the deck, weather permitting.

Hot Tub – 

With recommendation from our local county health department the Hot Tub will be closed for the year 2021. We are sorry not to be able to offer it for guest use, but it’s the best thing to do at this time. 

Check In – 

Guests have their own entrance so upon arrival we appreciate a quick text or phone call so we can give you a welcoming hello from afar and if you have any questions or concerns during your stay we are just a quick text or phone call away.

Healthy Practices & A More Flexible Cancellation Policy –

We wash our hands frequently during the day and request that guests wash their hands or use our provided hand sanitizer upon arrival and frequently throughout the day too. We are both fully vaccinated but would appreciate you wearing a covering over your mouth and nose inside the house while we are in the adjacent kitchen preparing your breakfast. We urge you not to travel and stay home if you are feeling ill, for your safety and the safety of others. If you are not feeling well, you now have the option of canceling as late as 24 hours prior to arrival (rather than 7 days) with only a $25 cancellation fee, or your deposit can be transferred to a gift certificate to be used at a later date.
