We love to travel, just like you so in our slower season we pack our bags and usually head off to Europe. Italy being one of our favorites place to explore, we traveled a bit off the beaten path and just got back from a great trip to Southern Italy and Sicily.
Our Italian is hit and miss so with our trusty Italian dictionary in hand we flew to Naples and headed south visiting Cava dei Tirreni, Amalfi Coast, Matera, Alberobello, Calabria and Taormina in Sicily. Very few tourists visit these areas so little English is spoken but we were welcomed by friendly people, great eats and glass after glass of fine wine.
The weather was gorgeous and the views spectacular, such a memorable trip.
